The 2024 Annual Conference

The EMRDA Annual Conference is dedicated to the theme of "Bridging Cultures and Sectors," highlighting one of our core strengths—navigating the cultural and legal differences that exist across countries and between academia and industry. As a network that spans diverse regions and sectors, EMRDA understands that effective research management requires a nuanced approach that respects local regulations while aligning with broader European and international standards. Our members are at the forefront of managing complex research projects, navigating regulations, and ensuring compliance with diverse funding requirements. EMRDA provides Research Managers and Administrators (RMAs) with access to a wealth of resources and expertise, empowering them to excel in their roles and drive impactful research initiatives.

A key aspect of EMRDA’s mission is its collaboration with the EU Commission and various national and international funding agencies. Through these partnerships, we actively participate in shaping research policies and funding strategies that foster innovation and advancement across Europe. Our involvement in policy consultations ensures that the interests and needs of RMAs are represented, leading to continuous improvements in research management practices that align with the evolving landscape of research funding and regulation.

Networking and knowledge sharing are fundamental to the growth and development of our members. EMRDA provides numerous opportunities for RMAs to connect, learn, and exchange best practices through conferences, workshops, and online forums. As a founding member of the International Network of Research Management Societies (INORMS), we are committed to fostering international collaborations that enhance the capabilities of RMAs and advance research management practices globally.
